The Demon King sat on his infernal throne, flames licking at his feet. For eons, he had ruled the underworld with an iron fist. But something was missing. He no longer found joy in the screams of the damned or the suffering of tortured souls.
A commotion arose as his servants dragged in a captured angel. 

Her wings were broken, her golden hair crusted with blood. Yet her eyes burned with defiance as she was thrown at his feet.
“What do we have here?” the Demon King mused, leaning forward.
“I will never bow to you, monster,” the angel spat.

He laughed, a sound like boulders grinding together. “We shall see.”

With a wave of his hand, he ordered her taken to the dungeons. As they dragged her away, the Demon King found himself intrigued. There was something about this celestial creature that stirred long-forgotten emotions. Perhaps it was time for a change in the realm of darkness.
